Wanjing Art Garden Introduction
Wan Jing Yi Garden is located in Xizhou Township, Changhua County. In 1992, Chairman Chen Chang-Hsing saw a century-old camphor tree lying in front of a camphor oil factory that was still sprouting tender shoots. Out of compassion, he purchased and adopted the tree, allowing it to continue its life. This led to the establishment of the Old Tree Shelter Bank, which further gave rise to the creation of a garden primarily focused on Taiwan's native plants. Over the past decade, the garden has been continuously expanded and enhanced with scenic architecture, and it is currently the largest and finest garden in Taiwan, featuring rare flowers, trees, and stones, showcasing the grandeur of a world-class garden.
Wanjiang Art Garden is home to a variety of unique flowers and trees, from ancient trees to the present. From the entrance, you can see old cypress stones, massive ebony trees lining the path, seasonal changes of rosewood, the Zen-like area of moon orange, tranquil native bald cypress forest, the scenic area of sawtooth oak, the area of dead wood springing to life, and the native cycad garden, among others. Pavilions, towers, bridges, flowing water, waterfalls, and unusual stones are beautifully intertwined throughout the garden.
