Kuo-Kuang Bun

Taipei Foods

Located at the corner of Liancheng Road and Xingsheng Street in Zhonghe, Guoguang Mantou has been established for over 15 years. In the past, Boss Xiao spent 600,000 TWD just to learn how to make delicious mantou. The mantou is made without adding yeast; instead, it uses old dough and is allowed to naturally ferment, preserving the original aroma of the mantou. It takes about 12 hours from start to finish to make one mantou, and the entire process is done by hand, giving the mantou a layered texture and a chewy bite. In addition, Boss Xiao has developed various flavors of buns, such as vegetarian mushroom bamboo shoots bun, fresh meat bun, sesame bun, and red bean paste bun. To attract the younger market, he has also created a cheese and ham roll, offering another delightful taste of mantou.
