Lin's Mushroom and Pork Soup Introduction
Xinzhuang Old Street is also known as "Xinzhuang Temple Street" due to the numerous ancient temples. The current Xinzhuang Tourism Night Market runs along Xinzhuang Road, spanning a 350-meter section from Liji Street to Xintai Road, which transforms into a pedestrian-only zone at night, bustling with shops and vibrant activity. Lin's Mushroom Pork Soup is located on Xinzhuang Road, right next to the historical site of Wusheng Temple, a designated third-class historic monument. The shop is small and has an old appearance without any signage outside, giving it a very low-key vibe; however, the fragrant taste that has been passed down through three generations for nearly sixty years is well-known among loyal customers in the Xinzhuang area, making it far from low-profile. The specially selected fresh pork hind leg is different from the common meat soup found elsewhere. "Lin's Pork Soup," which has been operating in Xinzhuang Old Street for over half a century, started with selling ice products and meatballs in its early days, and has always maintained quality, earning its spot as one of the favorite local eateries recognized for "good food rewarded with good eating" in Xinzhuang.
