Nan'zi Gou Bicycle Station Introduction
In order to provide a quality resting area for cyclists along the Dahan River, the New Taipei City Government has built a cultural bicycle rest station at the "Nan'zi Gou Pumping Station" next to the Xinyue Bridge. This project aims to improve the internal environment and facilities, increase surrounding directional signage, and add a resting platform and restrooms to give the public a feeling of returning home. Additionally, to enrich the content of the bicycle rest station, the construction team interviewed the Fangqiao Cultural Association in New Taipei City to collect cultural and historical information about the Banqiao Nan'zi Creek. This information has been creatively displayed in the resting area of the station through lively illustrations, allowing cyclists to not only rest but also to learn more about the land they are cycling on, enhancing their cultural awareness. This bicycle rest station not only provides a safe and comfortable resting space for cyclists but also serves functions of flood prevention, recreation, and environmental education. Originally located on the right bank of the Dahan River along the Nan'zi Gou bicycle path, the Nan'zi Gou Pumping Station has been partially transformed into a bicycle rest station for cyclists. Visitors can enter the station by crossing the flood prevention bridge through the indicated path. The rest station offers services such as restrooms, air pumping, and water refills, and the indoor resting area allows visitors to relax while learning about the local stories of the past in Banqiao Nan'zi Gou. The most eye-catching feature is a 26-meter tall and 18-meter wide painted wall, themed after the world-renowned book "The Little Prince." The adorable Little Prince, fox, and rose are waiting for everyone on the B612 planet! (Photo provided by the Water Resources Bureau of New Taipei City Government)
