Zhan Ji Spicy Hot Pot was established in 1994 and has been a well-known restaurant for over twenty years, even earning the nickname "The Light of Xinzhuang." Renowned for its spiciness, Zhan Ji offers four levels of heat: spicy, mild spicy, medium spicy, and extra spicy. The signature spicy broth is made using a secret recipe, simmered for over ten hours with special spices and a selection of over ten Chinese herbs, resulting in an unmatched flavor that is a true representation of Taiwanese taste. The broth is paired with tofu and duck blood, with their spicy duck blood being a prized dish. After more than twenty years, it remains popular, as the unique cooking process allows the duck blood to absorb the essence of all the spices while maintaining its smooth texture.
