Yongfang Bakery Introduction
Yongfang Bakery was established by Mr. Cai Yaonan in 1995. The store usually sells bread, longevity peach cakes, tortoise cakes, wedding pastries, and more. Among these, the signature product and best-seller is the Birdie Cake. Mr. Cai's great-grandfather used to sell red turtle cakes on the street, and Mr. Cai learned baking from a young age and even worked as a hotel chef. As a result, the production methods of the goods in the shop differ from traditional pastry shops. For example, the dough of the Birdie Cake is made using a type of hot water dough, which allows for thinner rolling and results in a crispier texture after baking. Recognized as a Smile Shop by CommonWealth Magazine’s 319 rural feature, Yongfang Bakery has developed six flavors for customers to choose from: red bean, sweet potato, taro, matcha, mung bean paste, and mushroom curry.
