Forty years ago, a retired veteran reminisced about the flavors of his hometown and attempted to recreate the dishes that reminded him of home, easing his feelings of homesickness. After tasting his creations, he decided to open a restaurant that serves authentic Chinese dishes, delighting everyone's taste buds—this is the "Mainland Restaurant" located next to Wufeng Temple in Zhongpu Township. The restaurant has been in operation for over forty years and is currently run by the second-generation owner, Yang Song-tao. He has inherited his father's culinary skills and made improvements, bringing a variety of Chinese cuisines that differ from typical Taiwanese flavors.
