Yongfang Bakery Introduction
Yongfang Bakery was established by Mr. Tsai Yao-nan in 1995. The shop typically sells bread, longevity peach buns, dough turtles, wedding cakes, among others. One of the signature products and bestsellers at Yongfang Bakery is the Bird Cake. Due to his great-grandfather's previous business of selling red turtle cakes, Mr. Tsai learned baking from a young age and even worked as a hotel chef, which has led to unique production methods for the shop’s products compared to traditional pastry shops. For example, the dough for the Bird Cake is made using a hot water dough, allowing for a thinner roll and resulting in a crispier texture after baking. Yongfang Bakery, selected as one of the Smile Shops by CommonWealth Magazine, has developed six flavors to offer more choices to customers: red bean, sweet potato, taro, matcha, mung bean paste, and mushroom curry.
