Yong Fang Bakery Introduction
Yongfang Bakery was established in 1995 by Mr. Tsai Yao-nan. The bakery typically sells bread, longevity peaches, tortoise-shaped cakes, wedding cakes, and more. However, the signature item of Yongfang Bakery, and its best-selling product, is the Birdie Cake. Mr. Tsai learned baking from a young age, as his great-grandfather used to sell red turtle cakes on the street. He also worked as a hotel chef, which led to a different production method for their products compared to traditional pastry shops. For example, the dough for the Birdie Cake uses a hot-water dough technique, allowing it to be rolled thinner and making it crispier after baking. Yongfang Bakery, recognized as one of the "319 Smiling Shops" by天下雜誌 (CommonWealth Magazine), has developed six flavors to provide more choices for customers: red bean, sweet potato, taro, matcha, mung bean paste, and mushroom curry.
