Papermaking Dragon Creative Center Introduction
The philosophy of "Puli Paper" since its establishment in 1979 is to meticulously craft every sheet of paper. Under the leadership of founder Mr. Chang Ching-hsiang, it has traversed 40 years and today markets its superior papermaking technology to over 60 countries across five continents. In 2007, with guidance from the Industrial Technology Research Institute of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the "Papermaking Dragon Creative Center" was established as a tourist factory introducing the mechanical papermaking process. While traditional papermaking is well known, Papermaking Dragon presents a more modern and life-oriented approach to mechanical paper, conveying the warmth of paper to visiting tourists through storytelling tours and DIY workshops. The Papermaking Dragon Creative Center is located in Puli, Nantou, a small paper-making town that began in the Qing Dynasty. After enduring a challenging and competitive environment, it has transformed from a traditional paper factory into a tourist factory. Papermaking Dragon uses its produced "Color Wave Paper" to develop "Paper Lego 3D Figures," which are beloved by both children and adults. In addition to enjoying the fun of DIY制作, the exhibition hall also showcases many designs and creations in paper art. Here, you will discover that paper is no longer just a simple sheet; it presents itself in various forms, reflecting our rich aesthetic of life.
