Located in Puli, Nantou, 18°C Chocolate Factory is renowned for its low-temperature handmade chocolates. It officially began selling online in 2006. The owner, Master Mao, has over a decade of experience in chocolate making before starting online sales. His interest in chocolate began in 1999 when his children’s love for chocolate inspired him to study chocolate-making in Japan. After returning to Taiwan, he continued to experiment with chocolate recipes, initially giving away his chocolates to friends and family without selling them. To his surprise, the handmade chocolates were very popular, leading to the establishment of the 18°C Chocolate Factory.
