Nanjhuang Farmers' Association Home Economics Class Food Hall Introduction
The Home Economics Class in the early Nanzhuang area was established to encourage rural women to participate in second specialty training, engage in rural side businesses, improve economic conditions, enhance the quality of agricultural specialties, create business opportunities, and invigorate the rural economy. With the guidance of the Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan, and the assistance of the Miaoli County Government, Miaoli County Farmers' Association, Miaoli Agricultural Improvement Station, and Nanzhuang Township Farmers' Association, a home economics class was formed in the township. Being not far from the Old Street, it has become a favorite restaurant for both tourists and locals. Due to Nanzhuang’s humid climate, many local fresh specialties have emerged, such as alpine trout, bamboo shoots, and log mushrooms. Over the years, with local fresh ingredients and continuously improving cooking techniques, it has become a renowned restaurant famous across the region.
