Century Oil Rice Introduction
The 2022 Golden Medal Restaurant, Anecdote Century Oil Rice, was established in 1862. In its early days, it served the local community in Daxi, Taoyuan, with rice-based products, aiming to provide simple yet genuine dishes that would satisfy guests and give them a worthwhile experience. Initially selling lotus leaf-wrapped oil rice from a shoulder pole on the streets to support the family, the business later flourished and transitioned to selling meat dumplings to offer quick and convenient rice meals for travelers. The fourth generation took over in 1986, focusing on transforming the historic shop and creating its own brand, making Anecdote Century Oil Rice a media favorite. With a legacy of over 150 years, it hopes to continue for another century. In the future, it will keep developing new products and provide various purchasing channels, allowing guests from all over to better understand Daxi and Anecdote Century Oil Rice.
