Daxi Wood Art Eco Museum - Wood Life Hall Introduction
The Wood Life Museum (formerly the Chiang Kai-shek Residence) carries a narrative centered around notable figures, once a living space with a unique story. Continuing to showcase the meaning of life, it has transformed into the "Wood Life Museum," aligning with the characteristic woodcraft culture of Daxi, open and publicizing the previously private living space, allowing the exchange and flourishing of skills, art, culture, and industry. The "Photosynthesis Space," the first large room upon entry, was the original reception and meeting area of the residence. The design of the "Photosynthesis Space" is based on the concept of hospitality, welcoming visitors with creations from local craftspeople, enabling the audience to engage in dialogue with the artworks, allowing seeds of inspiration to sprout as if basking in sunlight; it also offers light snack options. The "Nurturing Space" showcases various wood furniture and artworks that exhibit the diverse aspects of life, where visitors can experience the messages conveyed by the works, fostering the growth of inspired seedlings. The "Newborn Space," located near the scenic Dahan River, features arrangements highlighting the "wood theme" through creations by both domestic and international artists, hoping that the audience appreciates the diverse forms of woodcraft, feels the beauty of wood life, and contemplates the integration of wood elements into their daily life, embarking on a new wood lifestyle!
