Daxi Wood Art Ecological Museum - Wood Life Hall Introduction
MULIFE (formerly Chiang Kai-shek's residence) carries a past centered around notable figures and once served as a space with special stories. Continuing to showcase the meaning of life, it has transformed into "MULIFE," aligning with Daxi's characteristic woodcraft culture, where past private living spaces have been opened to the public, allowing for the exchange and flourishing of skills, art, culture, and industry. The "Photosynthesis Space," the first large room upon entry, was originally the reception area and meeting room of the residence. Therefore, it has been planned with the concept of hospitality, featuring creations from local craft professionals to welcome visitors. Audiences can engage in dialogue with the artworks here, with seeds of inspiration sprouting as if bathed in sunlight; it also offers light food options. The "Nurturing Space" showcases various woodcraft furniture and artworks that demonstrate the diverse aspects of life, allowing visitors to experience the messages conveyed by the works and nurturing the sprouting seeds of inspiration. The "Newborn Space," located near the scenic Dahan River, features arrangements highlighting the "wood theme" by both domestic and international artists, hoping audiences will appreciate the diverse expressions of woodcraft and feel the beauty of a wooden lifestyle, contemplating the integration of wood elements into their lives and embarking on a new wooden life!
