Nanao Farm Introduction
Nanao Farm is located at the southernmost end of the Lanyang Plain. It offers water and electricity, a barbecue area, and clean bathroom facilities. In addition to the washbasins, drinking water dispensers are provided, which is very considerate. Situated in an open prairie without any cover, the farm is surrounded by minimal light pollution, with a mild climate and excellent visibility. There is also no air pollution, and the nighttime sky is filled with brilliant stars, making it suitable for astronomical and star observation. The surrounding natural landscapes, including mountains, streams, and coastlines, are rich in resources, making it ideal for fixed-point ecotourism, farm experiences, team-building activities, and family events. With such diverse ecology available at no cost, the expansive area also offers comfortable facilities, making it a travel destination that visitors return to time and again. Originally managed by the National Property Administration of the Ministry of Finance and entrusted to Land Bank, the management changed to the Yilan County Government in 1999. It is currently operated in cooperation with the National Property Administration and Yilan County Government, and has been planned and opened as a leisure farm to promote recreational agriculture and provide tourism for the public.
