Nanao Farm Introduction
Nanao Farm is located at the southern end of the Lanyang Plain, providing electricity, a barbecue area, and clean bathroom facilities. In addition to washbasins, drinking water dispensers are also offered, which is quite considerate. The vast grasslands have no obstructions, and the farm is free from light pollution with a mild climate and good visibility, also lacking air pollution. The night sky is brilliant, allowing visitors to gaze at a multitude of stars up close, making it suitable for astronomical and celestial observations. The surrounding natural landscapes, including mountains, streams, and coastlines, are rich in resources, ideal for stationary ecotourism, farm experiences, group activities, and family events. With such diverse ecology, visitors can enjoy the spacious area and comfortable facilities without any fees, making it a favored travel destination for repeat visitors. Nanao Farm was originally operated by the Land Bank on behalf of the Ministry of Finance’s National Property Administration. In 1999, it was taken over by the Yilan County Government. Currently, it is operated in cooperation between the National Property Administration and the Yilan County Government and has been planned and opened as a leisure farm to promote recreational agriculture and provide travel opportunities for the public.
