Nanao Farm Introduction
Nanao Farm is located at the southernmost tip of the Lanyang Plain, providing electricity, a barbecue area, and clean bathroom facilities, including sinks and water dispensers, which is quite considerate. With no cover on the vast pasture, the farm is surrounded by no light pollution, and the climate is mild with good visibility, free from air pollution. The night sky is filled with stars, allowing for close-up observation of the myriad of stars, making it suitable for astronomy and stargazing. The surrounding natural resources, including mountains, streams, and coastlines, are abundant, making it ideal for fixed-point eco-tourism, farm experiences, group activities, and family events. With such diverse ecology, visitors can enjoy the spacious grounds and comfortable facilities without having to pay a fee, making it a popular travel destination that attracts return visitors. Originally operated by the Ministry of Finance's National Property Administration and entrusted to Land Bank, in 1999, the Yilan County Government took over the operation. Currently, it is managed in cooperation with the National Property Administration and the Yilan County Government, and has been planned to be open as a leisure farm in line with the promotion of recreational agriculture and to provide citizens with tourism options.
