Chaoyang Fishing Port Introduction

Chaoyang Fishing Port is located in Chaoyang Village, Su'ao Township, Yilan County. It is also commonly known as "Danan'ao" seaside and is the last fishing port completed among the 230 fishing ports in Taiwan, holding significant geographical and industrial importance. The fishing port is adjacent to the Pacific Ocean, with the Wushihbi Natural Reserve to the north serving as a natural barrier. The waters here are deep and clean, and the Kuroshio current passes through, contributing to the abundant fishing resources of the port. Every morning and evening, fishing boats return to port at scheduled times, bringing back large quantities of fresh, high-value migratory fish such as red snapper, swordfish, and white pomfret, attracting local residents and tourists to gather and compete for the freshest catches.
