Chaoyang Fishing Port Introduction
Located by the seaside in Chaoyang Village of Su'ao Township (commonly known as Daan Ao), the Chaoyang Fishing Harbor is sheltered by the Wushi Nose Natural Preserve to the north, along with abundant nearby marine resources. This makes it a favorite spot for rock fishing enthusiasts and the richest fishing ground in the southern part of Su'ao Township. The harbor is very clean, without any debris, garbage, or fishy odors, unlike other fishing ports. When talking about Chaoyang Fishing Harbor, one thinks of the locals and tourists waiting by the harbor, eagerly anticipating the return of the fishing boats. The fixed net fishermen from Daan Ao return to the port loaded with catch every day at 7 AM and 4 PM. Due to the depth of the waters off Daan Ao and the Kuroshio Current passing through, most of the catch consists of medium to large migratory fish species that are of high value. The waters near Daan Ao are relatively unpolluted, ensuring the fish are fresh and sweet in taste. As soon as the fishing boats dock, people rush up, eager to get their preferred fish species. Once they secure their catch, they can weigh it and pay at the side, attracting many to come here for fresh seafood.
