Chaoyang Fishing Port Introduction
Located by the seaside in Chaoyang Village, Su'ao Township (commonly known as Daan'ao), the Chaoyang Fishing Port is sheltered by the Wushi Nose Natural Reserve to the north and benefits from rich marine resources in the surrounding waters. As a result, it has become a favorite spot for rock fishing enthusiasts and is the most bountiful fishing area in the southern part of Su'ao Township. Chaoyang Fishing Port is very clean, with no debris, no garbage, and no fishy smells, setting it apart from other fishing ports. When mentioning Chaoyang Fishing Port, one might think of the locals and tourists waiting eagerly by the port for the return of fishing boats. Operators of fixed net fishing in Daan'ao return to the port loaded with catches every day at 7 AM and 4 PM. Due to the deep waters off the coast of Daan'ao and the flow of the Kuroshio Current, the catch mostly consists of medium to large, high-value migratory fish. The nearby waters of Daan'ao are relatively unpolluted, resulting in fresh, sweet-tasting fish. As soon as a fishing boat docks, crowds rush in, eager to secure their favorite types of fish. Once they catch their desired fish, they simply weigh it and pay at the side, attracting many people to come here to buy fresh seafood.
