Dong'ao Bay, Fenjilan Fish Harbor Introduction
Dong’ao Bay stretches from Wu Yan Jiao in the north to Wu Shi Bi in the south. The bay's arc-shaped coastline, complemented by the deep blue ocean, comprises beautiful beaches and black reefs. The sound of the waves lapping at the shore creates an intoxicating atmosphere. At the southernmost tip of Dong’ao Bay, Wu Shi Bi's Funiaolin Fishing Harbor boasts a uniquely concealed geographical location. The harbor is known for its beautiful scenery and clear waters, exuding tranquility and rustic charm. In earlier times, many pigeons gathered here, hence the name Funiaolin, as pigeons are called "funiao" in Taiwan. Standing on the layered wave-dissipating blocks, one can admire the vast expanse of the azure sea, with white waves constantly crashing onto the shore, a truly breathtaking sight to behold, while enjoying the sounds of the tide. Kayaking out to the harbor allows for an even closer view of the clear and serene waters, which sparkle under the sunlight. Funiaolin Fishing Harbor not only features a harmonious blend of sea and sky but is also a hidden gem abundant in various fish species, making it a popular spot for anglers.
