Dongyue Spring Introduction

Dongyue Spring is located next to Dong'ao Elementary School in Su'ao Township, Yilan County. The water temperature here is around 14 to 16 degrees Celsius all year round, with clear springs where small fish can be seen swimming, making it a popular summer getaway for locals. With widespread sharing on the internet, it has attracted many tourists looking to play in the water, becoming a popular attraction in Su'ao during the summer vacation. The park features amenities such as a camping area, resting spots, and public toilets, and there is a parking lot across from the park for the convenience of large numbers of visitors. Dongyue Spring was discovered when the dual-track construction of the North-Link Line accidentally unearthed an underground water vein, which was then channeled into the Dong'ao River, approximately several hundred meters long, and later developed into Dongyue Spring Park. The average depth of the spring water is about 60 centimeters, and the bottom is covered with stones, so parents should closely supervise their children while playing in the water to avoid accidents. While enjoying the water at Dongyue Spring, one can look up to see trains passing over the bridge, with many people playing in the water below, creating an interesting scene. However, it is important to note that barbecues are prohibited in the park to maintain the cleanliness and beauty of this wonderful summer retreat.
