Dongshan River Ecological Greenway Introduction
Dongshan River Eco-Green Corridor is located in the mid- to upper reaches of the Dongshan River in Yilan. It is a large park with an area (including water) of approximately 18 hectares, offering a broad view and primarily themed around forests. This natural-style forest park integrates the Dongshan River, creating a rich natural ecology. Before its official opening, numerous species were surveyed on the land, including birds, fish, amphibians, and reptiles, making it a habitat for wildlife. To protect their habitats and living environments, it is essential to minimize human interference and prohibit activities such as biking, kite flying, and fishing that may cause damage or disturbance. The eastern shore of the Dongshan River Eco-Green Corridor preserves native vegetation, becoming a habitat for migratory birds. In addition to bird watching and exploring the ecology by boat, the park is equipped with facilities such as the Dongshan River Railway Bridge, a large play area, bird watching platforms, and walking trails, making it a forest park with recreational and natural ecological education significance. Dongshan River Eco-Green Corridor is also located near popular attractions such as Dongshan River Water Park, Wulai Scenic Area, National Center for Traditional Arts, and Luodong Night Market.
