Dongshan River Ecological Greenway Introduction
The Dongshan River Eco-Green Park is located in the upper reaches of the Dongshan River in Yilan. It is a large park with an area of approximately 18 hectares (including water bodies) and offers a vast view. The park has a forest theme that integrates the Dongshan River into a natural-style forest park, creating a rich natural ecology. Before the official opening of the park, many species were discovered on this land, including birds, fish, frogs, reptiles, among others, making it a home for wildlife. To protect their habitats and living environments, human disturbances must be minimized, and activities that cause destruction or impact such as biking, kite flying, and fishing are prohibited. The east bank of the Dongshan River Eco-Green Park preserves indigenous vegetation, becoming a habitat for migratory birds. In addition to bird watching and boat tours to explore the ecology, the park is equipped with facilities such as the Dongshan River Railway Bridge, a large play area, bird watching platforms, and trails, making it a forest park that holds leisure and natural ecological education significance.
