Covering an area of approximately 18 hectares (including water bodies), this park offers a vast expanse and is themed around forests, integrating the Dongshan River into a natural-style forest park that creates rich natural ecology. Prior to its official opening, numerous species such as birds, fish, frogs, and reptiles were discovered in this area, making it a home for wildlife. To protect their habitat and living environment, human disturbance must be minimized, and activities that could cause damage or impact, such as cycling, kite flying, and fishing, are prohibited. The eastern bank of the Dongshan River Ecological Green Boat retains native vegetation, providing a habitat for migratory birds.
