Wulaokeng Scenic Area Introduction
Wulaokeng Creek belongs to the Xincheng Creek watershed, where the river enters flatlands, showcasing a beautiful blend of mountains and rivers. Formerly known as "Wulaolinfeng," it is one of the scenic spots of the "Eight Views of New Lanyang." The sloped land on both banks of Wulaokeng is suitable for tea cultivation, and Wulao tea is known for its fragrant sweetness, gaining fame far and wide. The area is lush with greenery, where one can see bitter flowers, stream crabs, and other creatures leisurely enjoying the clear stream. The phrase "Wulaokeng Big Stone Drum, A-Jian City Water Reflections" describes the sounds made as the creek's water hits the stones, while the clear waters and fresh air of the downstream A-Jian City nurture many pure and beautiful girls. The scenic area covers 400 hectares, with 70 hectares planned for camping, divided into two large camping areas that can accommodate 1,000 people. The facilities are comprehensive, including cooking pavilions, campfire sites, rain shelters, and separate restrooms for men and women. Coupled with the unique natural scenery, the park serves as an excellent location for camping, cooking, water play, mountain climbing, outdoor education, and tea tasting. Since 2001, a Green Expo has been held annually from March to May, conveying green concepts, natural ecology, energy, biotechnology, and environmental protection spirit in an entertaining and educational manner.
