Wax Art Museum Introduction
Founded in 1990, Wax Art Industry aims to let more people know about the quality crayons made in Taiwan. In 2008, the Wax Art Painting Museum was established for public visits. Continuous innovation and improvement led to it becoming a designated Outstanding Tourist Factory by the Ministry of Economic Affairs in 2010, making it the first in the stationery industry. Currently, Wax Art is the only crayon production facility in Taiwan that handles the entire manufacturing process. Through ongoing development and research, we expand the functionality of crayons, offering different types for various age groups. At the Wax Art Painting Museum, you can learn about our production process through guided videos, discover crayon manufacturing secrets and materials, and gain essential knowledge to help you choose safe and suitable crayons. Inside the museum, we have scaled down the crayon manufacturing process, allowing visitors to see crayon production in a safe environment and create their own crayons. Families can enjoy a fun and interactive experience while learning and achieving a sense of accomplishment through DIY activities. You can also use special crayons for body painting and drawing on large walls, which are safe and enjoyable. Additionally, there’s a unique experience to recreate colored pens from 20 years ago by personally crafting your own colorful pen! Admission includes access to graffiti art, colored pen DIY, shaped crayon DIY, eco-friendly multi-color crayons, body painting, a dress-up area, and a star-studded avenue, where you can take photos in themed backgrounds. Tickets are priced at 200 TWD and include five experiences, and you can take home everything you create! Graffiti area: Experience magical imprint crayon art and enjoy playing on seven graffiti walls using our exclusive eco-friendly whiteboard crayons and bathroom crayons. Colored pen DIY: Relive the traditional fun of creating colored pens from 20 years ago while learning about their structures and principles. Shaped crayon DIY: Choose from various molds, including A-Z letters, Taiwan, and numbers 1-3, and explore the crayon-making process. Eco-friendly multi-color crayons: Select colorful wax beads to combine and manually press them into a machine, resulting in a unique multi-color crayon! Drawing will also reveal gradient colors! Body painting: Safe and inspected materials allow the whole family to paint on skin, easily removable with soap and water. Moreover, we have a dress-up area and a starry avenue for you to try out unique styles and take pictures against themed backgrounds.
