Wax Painting Museum Introduction
Founded in 1990, Wax Art Industry aims to let more people recognize the quality crayons made in Taiwan. In 2008, the Wax Painting Museum was established to welcome visitors. With continuous innovation and improvement, the company was recognized as a model tourist factory by the Ministry of Economic Affairs in 2010, becoming the first quality tourist factory in the stationery industry. Currently, Wax Art is the only crayon production factory in Taiwan that handles the entire production process. Through ongoing development and research, we expand the functionality of crayons to cater to different age groups. At the Wax Painting Museum, you can learn about our production process through guided videos, understand the secrets and materials involved in crayon manufacturing, and acquire important knowledge about crayons to help you choose safe and suitable options. Inside the museum, we have scaled down the crayon production process, allowing everyone to safely observe the production and even make crayons themselves. Families can enjoy a fun and interactive experience while learning and gaining the satisfaction of completing DIY projects. You can also use our special crayons on large mural walls or even on skin, ensuring both safety and fun. We also offer a nostalgic experience from 20 years ago - DIY colored pencils, where you can create colorful pencils by hand! Admission tickets include access to five experiences: graffiti painting, colored pencil DIY, shaped crayon DIY, eco-friendly multi-color crayons, body painting, a dress-up area, and a starry avenue, allowing those who love to showcase their creativity to try unique styles and take photos against themed backdrops! The admission fee of NT$200 includes a variety of hands-on activities, and you can bring home all completed works! In the graffiti area, enjoy magical crayon imprint experiences with seven large graffiti walls where you can use our exclusive eco-friendly whiteboard crayons and bath crayons to your heart's content. In the colored pencil DIY area, experience the joy of handmade colored pencils from 20 years ago while learning about their structure and principles. The shaped crayon DIY offers various molds including A-Z letters, Taiwan shapes, and numbers 1-3, letting you choose your favorite shapes and colors while exploring the crayon-making process deeply. Eco-friendly multi-color crayons allow you to choose and combine colorful wax particles, which are then pressed manually in our machine, resulting in a unique multi-color crayon that can even create gradient effects! For body painting, we provide safe, tested materials, allowing the whole family to paint on each other’s skin, easily removable with soap and water. Moreover, we have a dress-up area and a starry avenue, perfect for showcasing unique looks and capturing memorable photos against thematic backgrounds!
