Wax Painting Museum Introduction
Lanyang Industrial was established in 1990. To let more people know about the high-quality crayons made in Taiwan, the Lanyang Crayon Painting Museum was opened for visits in 2008. Continuous innovation and improvement led to the approval as a Model Industrial Tourism Factory by the Ministry of Economic Affairs in 2010, making it the first exemplary tourism factory in the stationery industry. Currently, Lanyang is the only full-process crayon production factory in Taiwan. Through continuous development and research, we have expanded the functionality of crayons, offering various types suitable for all age groups. At the Lanyang Crayon Painting Museum, you can learn about our production process through guided videos, and discover the secrets and materials behind crayon production. With essential crayon knowledge, you can easily choose safe and suitable crayons. Inside the museum, we have miniaturized the crayon manufacturing process, allowing everyone to witness crayon production in a safe environment and even create their own crayons. Families can enjoy a fun, interactive experience filled with laughter while learning and achieving a sense of accomplishment from their DIY creations. You can also use special crayons for drawing on large walls and skin, which are safe and fun. Additionally, you can experience a revival of 20 years ago with DIY colored pencil making, creating various colored pencils by hand! Admission includes colorful graffiti, DIY colored pencils, DIY shaped crayons, eco-friendly multi-colored crayons, body painting, a dress-up area, and a starry avenue, allowing you to try out unique styles and take photos in front of themed backgrounds. The ticket price is 200 TWD and includes 5 experiences, with all completed works to take home! The graffiti area features magical imprint crayon painting experiences and seven large graffiti walls where you can use exclusive eco-friendly whiteboard crayons and bath crayons to play freely. The DIY colored pencil area brings back the fun of traditional handmade colored pencil creation from 20 years ago, while teaching you about the structure and principles of colored pencils. The DIY shaped crayon area provides various molds featuring A-Z letters, Taiwan, and 123 numbers, allowing you to select your favorite shapes and colors and experience the production methods firsthand. The eco-friendly multi-colored crayon lets you choose and combine colorful wax granules, press them manually into the machine, and voilà—your unique multi-colored crayon is ready! You'll also see gradient colors when you draw! The body painting uses safe materials approved for skin application, allowing the entire family to paint on various parts of the body, which can be easily removed with soap and water. Moreover, we have prepared a dress-up area and a starry avenue, where you can try out different styles and take photos against themed backgrounds for an immersive experience!
