Mingchi Forest Recreation Area Introduction
Mingchi Forest Recreation Area has an elevation ranging from 1,150 to 1,700 meters. Its rich primitive ecology is home to Mandarin ducks and mallards that often perch by the lake, while birds and squirrels can frequently be spotted moving through the woods. Surrounded by towering forests, it immerses visitors in the refreshing essence of the forest. Surrounded by forests, Mingchi, also known as Chitan, is an artificial high mountain lake, shrouded in clouds year-round. The emerald waters of Mingchi possess an ethereal beauty and have earned the title of the "Pearl of Beiheng," resembling a fairyland. The lakeside garden within the park is a must-visit attraction within the Mingchi Forest Recreation Area, featuring a design inspired by traditional Chinese garden aesthetics, complete with small bridges, flowing water, pavilions, and residential buildings.
