Heisong Beverage Museum Introduction
When I was young, I often accompanied my parents to banquets, and what I looked forward to the most was the sweet and sour Oasis fruit juice paired with delicious dishes, an unforgettable combination of flavors! HeySong Sarsaparilla with salt—every household’s remedy for a cold, with a tingling and stimulating taste; as soon as I took a sip, my cold wasn’t gone, but my mood improved significantly. What is your "HeySong memory"? Take a trip down the time corridor of the HeySong Beverage Museum and revisit those years when we all enjoyed HeySong together. The museum’s front corridor features a wall of soda and soft drink bottle light boxes, a commemorative edition released during the Changhua Flower Expo in 2004 that sparked a huge craze. Entering the museum, the displays on both sides of the hallway showcase the evolution of HeySong from its beginnings in 1925 with the “Jin Xin Business Association” to becoming a major beverage manufacturer. With a long history, it has grown alongside Taiwanese society; the first bottle of marble soda in Taiwan, glass bottles of HeySong soda served at banquets, are shared memories for many people from the 50s and 60s. In the 1950s, as Taiwan’s economy began to take off, a trend of drinking soda and sarsaparilla emerged. The museum exhibits various years of print advertisements, signs, and trademarks—iron signs hanging outside grocery stores, limited edition electric clocks gifted by HeySong to distributors and retailers, retro hand-painted posters, and even packaging methods are all displayed in detail, recreating the glory of Taiwan at the time. In 1995, on the occasion of HeySong's 70th anniversary, a “Looking for People, Items, and Works” event was held to collect diverse cultural artifacts from all over. Artifacts from childhood, such as soda bottle keychains, prizes exchanged for bottle caps, and the earliest cooler boxes, contributed to the establishment of the HeySong Cultural Museum (the predecessor of the HeySong Beverage Museum) in 1996, inviting visitors to walk along the trajectory of time with HeySong and immerse themselves in its unique aesthetic. In addition to static exhibitions, there are also videos introducing HeySong’s history, classic advertisement retrospectives, and presentations of the latest production equipment. At the end of the tour, visitors are given a beverage to experience the nostalgic joy of drinking soda.
