Yakult Factory Introduction
Do you remember the wonderful memories from childhood when you saw the Yakult lady delivering Yakult door to door on her bicycle, and visiting the Yakult factory where you could enjoy a bottle of the sweet and tangy drink? The widely known Yakult has been operating in Taiwan for over half a century. In 1999, the Yakult factory moved from Xinzhuang, Taipei to Zhongli, Taoyuan, and in 2013, a new factory was constructed on-site. The current Zhongli factory is a modern, multi-functional facility that incorporates green energy, environmental protection, and technology. When you enter the reception area on the first floor, you will be greeted by a three-dimensional figure of the Yakult lady, welcoming visitors. The factory's design features large windows, making the entire tour area bright and comfortable. The tour route includes sections on the history of Yakult, early artifacts, product display windows, and a corridor for observing the manufacturing process. There are audio-visual guides that explain everything from the cultivation of lactic acid bacteria to the production process, allowing visitors to understand how Yakult is made. Additionally, you can experience the live magnification of Yakult's active lactic acid bacteria through a microscope. Along the tour route, you can find a three-dimensional figure of the Yakult lady, display windows featuring Yakult bottles from around the world, a large Yakult model made from over 2,000 empty bottles, and a cartoon-themed photo area.
