Yakult Factory Introduction
Do you remember the wonderful memories of seeing the Yakult lady riding her bicycle, delivering Yakult door to door during your childhood, and visiting the Yakult factory where you could enjoy a bottle of sweet and sour Yakult? The well-known Yakult has been operating in Taiwan for over half a century. In 1999, the Yakult factory moved from Xinzhuang, Taipei to Zhongli, Taoyuan, and in 2013, a new factory was constructed on site. The current Zhongli factory is a modern facility that emphasizes green energy, environmental protection, and technology. When you enter the reception area on the first floor, you will be greeted by a 3D sculpture of the Yakult lady. The factory features a design with "floor-to-ceiling windows" that allows for a bright and comfortable visiting area. The tour route includes areas showcasing Yakult's development history, early artifacts, product display windows, and a manufacturing process corridor, complete with audio-visual guides explaining how Yakult is made, from the cultivation of lactic acid bacteria to the production process. Visitors can also experience viewing live images of active lactic acid bacteria through a microscope. Additionally, along the tour route, you can see a 3D sculpture of the Yakult lady, display windows featuring Yakult bottles from around the world, a large Yakult model made from over 2,000 empty Yakult bottles, and a cartoon-themed photo area for memorable snapshots. Future plans are being developed...
