Yakult Factory Introduction
Do you remember the wonderful memories of seeing the Yakult lady riding her bicycle, delivering Yakult from door to door, and visiting the Yakult factory where you could drink a bottle of the sweet and sour Yakult? The well-known Yakult has been operating in Taiwan for over half a century. In 1999, the Yakult factory moved from Xinzhuang, Taipei, to Zhongli, Taoyuan, and in 2013, a new facility was constructed on the site. The current Zhongli factory is a modern plant that incorporates green energy, environmental protection, and technological advancements. When you enter the reception area on the first floor, you will see a three-dimensional sculpture of the Yakult lady welcoming you. The factory is designed with large windows, making the entire exhibition area bright and comfortable. The tour route is planned to include the history of Yakult, showcases of early artifacts and products, and a corridor for process tours. Audio-visual guides explain how Yakult is made, from the cultivation of lactic acid bacteria to the production process. You can even experience viewing live images of Yakult's active lactic acid bacteria through a microscope. Additionally, during the tour, you will see a three-dimensional sculpture of the Yakult lady, a showcase of Yakult bottles from around the world, a large Yakult model made from over 2,000 empty Yakult bottles, and a cartoon-themed area for photo opportunities.
