Yakult Factory Introduction
Do you remember the wonderful memories of seeing the Yakult Lady riding her bicycle, delivering Yakult to every household, and visiting the Yakult factory where you could drink a sweet and sour bottle of Yakult? The well-known Yakult has been operating in Taiwan for over half a century. In 1999, the Yakult factory moved from Xinzhuang, Taipei to Zhongli, Taoyuan, and in 2013, a new factory was built on the same site. The current Zhongli factory is a modern facility that incorporates green energy, environmental protection, and technology. Upon entering the reception area on the first floor, you can see a three-dimensional Yakult Lady welcoming statue. The factory's design features large windows, making the entire exhibition area bright and comfortable. The tour route includes the history of Yakult's development, displays of early artifacts and products, as well as the production process corridor, with audiovisual guides available from the cultivation of lactic acid bacteria to the production process, allowing visitors to understand how Yakult is made. You can also personally experience watching live images of Yakult’s active lactic acid bacteria magnified through a microscope. Additionally, during your visit, you will see three-dimensional Yakult Lady figures, displays of Yakult bottles from around the world, a large Yakult model made from over 2,000 empty Yakult bottles, and a cartoon-themed photo opportunity area.
