Laojie River Waterfront Bike Path Introduction
The Old Street Creek Riverside Bicycle Path features approximately 3.2 kilometers in the Zhongli section, 2.8 kilometers in the Pingzhen section, and 4.5 kilometers in the Longtan section, connecting attractions such as Xinshi Park, the Southern District Youth Activity Center, the Old Street Creek River Education Center, Cuiti Plaza, and Cuiti Bridge. Along the bicycle path, visitors can enjoy the evolving riverbank scenery and discover more than ten cultural, ecological, tourism, and recreational points that will gradually open. The increasingly beautiful Old Street inevitably enchants everyone. The renovation of Old Street Creek includes flood control, bridge reconstruction, and riverside landscape revitalization, which not only meets flood prevention standards but also enhances the visual appeal of the bridges, combining both flood control and landscaping functions. After the river management, the Old Street Creek, through the bicycle path, provides the city with a breathing space. With the help of ecological engineering methods, Old Street Creek has transformed from a gray and dirty waterway into a sunny riverside landscape. Along this revitalized riverbank, evidence of residents' lives can be found, along with lush vegetation and the spacious Xinshi Park. At the River Education Center, there are also places for visitors to rest. This tranquil educational center takes on the responsibility of helping people understand and coexist with nature. Riding along the path, the harmonious space between people and nature unfolds along the bicycle lane.
