Yakult Factory Introduction
Do you remember the wonderful memories of seeing the Yakult lady riding her bicycle to deliver Yakult door to door during childhood? Yakult has been a household name in Taiwan for over half a century. The Yakult factory moved from Xinzhuang, Taipei to Zhongli, Taoyuan in 1999, and in 2013, a new factory was built on site. The current Zhongli factory is a modern facility that incorporates green energy, environmental protection, and advanced technology. When you enter the reception area on the first floor, you'll see a three-dimensional Yakult lady welcoming you. The factory features large windows that create a bright and comfortable viewing area. The tour route is planned with displays showcasing the history of Yakult's development, early artifacts and products, as well as a corridor for the production process. There are audio-visual guides that explain the entire manufacturing process from the cultivation of lactic acid bacteria to the final product. Visitors can even experience watching the live magnified images of Yakult's active lactic acid bacteria through a microscope. Additionally, along the tour path, there are three-dimensional Yakult lady figurines, display windows showcasing Yakult bottles from around the world, a large Yakult model made from over 2,000 empty Yakult bottles, and a cartoon-themed photo area for memorable snapshots. Plans are also in place to set up a merchandise sales area for Yakult-related products. Outside the factory, there are rainwater recycling systems and solar lamps, making it a great place for outdoor educational activities!
