Yakult Factory Introduction
Do you remember the good old days when you saw the Yakult lady delivering Yakult door-to-door on her bicycle and visiting the Yakult factory to enjoy a sweet and sour bottle of Yakult? The well-known Yakult has been operating in Taiwan for over half a century. The Yakult factory relocated from Xinzhuang, Taipei to Zhongli, Taoyuan in 1999 (Republic of China year 88) and rebuilt a new plant on site in 2013 (Republic of China year 102). The current Zhongli factory is a multi-functional modern facility that integrates green energy, environmental protection, and technology. Upon entering the reception area on the first floor, visitors are greeted by a three-dimensional figure of the Yakult lady. The factory features a "floor-to-ceiling window" design that makes the entire viewing area bright and comfortable. The tour route is planned with areas showcasing the history of Yakult's development, early artifacts and product display windows, as well as a corridor for the manufacturing process tour. Audio-visual guides provide insights into how Yakult is made, and visitors can experience real-time magnification of Yakult's active lactobacillus images through a microscope. Additionally, the tour route includes a three-dimensional figure of the Yakult lady, display windows of Yakult bottles from around the world, a large Yakult model made from over 2,000 empty Yakult bottles, and a cartoon-themed photo spot. There are plans to set up a retail area for Yakult merchandise in the future. The factory also features a rainwater recycling system and solar lights, making it an excellent place for outdoor educational activities!
