Yakult Factory Introduction
Do you remember the childhood days when you saw the Yakult lady riding her bicycle, delivering Yakult from house to house, and the wonderful memories of visiting the Yakult factory where you could enjoy a bottle of sweet and sour Yakult? Widely recognized, Yakult has been operating in Taiwan for over half a century. In 1999, the Yakult factory relocated from Xinzhuang, Taipei to Zhongli, Taoyuan, and in 2013, a new factory was built on-site. The current Zhongli factory is a modernized facility that incorporates green energy, environmental protection, and technology. When you walk into the reception area on the first floor, you will see a three-dimensional welcoming figure of the Yakult lady. The factory features a "floor-to-ceiling window" design that makes the entire visitor area bright and comfortable. The visitor route is planned to include the history of Yakult, early artifacts and product display cases, and a manufacturing process viewing corridor, where audiovisual guides explain how Yakult is produced, from lactobacillus cultivation to the manufacturing process, allowing everyone to understand the production. Visitors can also experience watching the images of live Yakult lactobacillus magnified in real-time through a microscope. Additionally, along the tour route, you can see three-dimensional figures of the Yakult lady, displays of Yakult bottles from around the world, a large Yakult model made from over 2,000 empty Yakult bottles, and a cartoon-themed photo opportunity area. There are future plans to set up a merchandise sales area for Yakult-related products. Outside the factory, there are also rainwater recycling systems and solar lamps, among other energy-saving and environmentally friendly facilities, making it an excellent place for outdoor education!
