Yakult Factory Introduction
Do you remember the beautiful memories of seeing Yakult Mama riding her bicycle to deliver Yakult to households, and visiting the Yakult factory to enjoy a bottle of the tangy and sweet drink as children? The well-known Yakult has been operating in Taiwan for over half a century. The Yakult factory relocated from Xinzhuang, Taipei, to Zhongli, Taoyuan, in 1999, and a new factory was built on site in 2013. The current Zhongli factory is a diverse modern factory that incorporates green energy, environmental protection, and technology. When you enter the reception area on the first floor, you will see a three-dimensional Yakult Mama welcoming figure expressing hospitality. The factory has been designed with "floor-to-ceiling windows" to make the entire tour area bright and comfortable. The tour route includes the history of Yakult's development, early artifacts, product display showcases, and a corridor for observing the production process. There are audio-visual guides from the cultivation of lactic acid bacteria to product processing, helping everyone understand how Yakult is made. You can also experience watching real-time magnified images of active Yakult lactic acid bacteria through a microscope. Additionally, the tour route features three-dimensional Yakult Mama figures, showcases of Yakult bottles from around the world, a large Yakult model made from over 2,000 empty Yakult bottles, and a cartoon-themed photo spot. There are plans to set up a merchandise sales area for Yakult-related products in the future. The factory also has rainwater recycling systems and solar lights, making it a great place for outdoor educational activities!
