Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall (Beiheng Visitor Center) Introduction
The Beiheng Visitor Center public restrooms will be temporarily closed for internal renovation and sanitary equipment upgrade projects from June 1, 2025, to November 30, 2025. The Beiheng Visitor Center is the first stop for visitors entering the Beiheng Mountain area, providing not only travel information and itinerary arrangements but also insights into the historical stories of Beiheng, especially the life of Mr. Chiang Ching-kuo and events that occurred in Beiheng and Taiwan. Here, visitors can see various artifacts and interactive devices, allowing them to appreciate the natural beauty of Beiheng and gain a deeper understanding of Taiwan's former leaders and how they guided Taiwan through difficult times towards today's prosperity. The first-floor exhibition focuses on "The Starting Point of Beiheng," showcasing the characteristics of the Beiheng Mountain area and Daxi wood craftsmanship. Visitors can experience the scenery of Beiheng from different angles and ways using the LINE@ official account and new media devices, feeling its charm and collecting its beauty. The second-floor exhibition theme is "Shouldering Heavy Burdens and Walking Difficult Paths," revolving around Mr. Chiang Ching-kuo and the ten major constructions he promoted. It displays the political, economic, and diplomatic developments that began in the 1970s, illustrating how Taiwan overcame difficulties to progress. Visitors can understand Taiwan's historical changes through artifacts and interactive experiences with a broad perspective.
