Cihu Mausoleum (Former Cihu) Introduction
"Cihu Mausoleum" is famous for being the resting place of the late President Chiang Kai-shek of the Republic of China. Cihu consists of the front and rear lakes, and the charming water color along the lakeshores, with willow trees swaying, evokes the beauty of Jiangnan scenery. Chiang named it Cihu because the place resembles his hometown in Fenghua, Zhejiang, which made him miss his mother. He also constructed a villa here, featuring a mixture of Min and Zhejiang architectural styles. He passed away in 1975 and was laid to rest here. The park's front and rear lakes are interconnected by streams, surrounded by beautiful scenery and green mountains on all sides. Each season presents a different natural beauty! In addition to visiting the mausoleum, one must also watch the changing of the honor guard ceremony, performed by the three branches of the military, known for their impressive routines. This ceremony attracts both domestic and international tourists who pause to watch and take photos.
