To capture a 360-degree panoramic view of Greater Taoyuan without needing to challenge high altitudes, head to Tiger Head Mountain, located less than 5 kilometers from Taoyuan Train Station. Though the Environmental Park here is only 251 meters above sea level, it serves as the highest point in the city, offering unobstructed views of sparkling stars and city lights, making it a popular local sightseeing destination. Known as "Star Park," the Tiger Head Mountain Environmental Park covers about 2.5 hectares and was originally a landfill for Taoyuan City. After being closed at the end of 1998 and replanned in August 2002, it has successfully shed its "infamous" reputation and transformed into a beautiful green space on the outskirts of the city. The entire park utilizes ecological construction methods to minimize unnecessary damage to the environment. It features walking paths, wooden pavilions, open lawns, and mosaic seats among its facilities. Unlike the densely wooded and primitive landscape of Tiger Head Mountain Park, the Environmental Park offers a broad view overlooking Luzhu, Dayuan, Bade, and Zhongli, making it a popular spot for family walks and play during the day. In the evening, visitors can also enjoy the dazzling city night scene, which is truly captivating. The Environmental Park is located about 1 kilometer from the Taoyuan Martyrs' Shrine and Cultural Park, the best-preserved Japanese shrine in Taiwan. Travelers may consider planning a dual-themed trip that combines nature and culture to explore the beauty of Taoyuan from different perspectives.
