Hutoushan Eco Park Introduction
If you want to capture a 360-degree panoramic view of Greater Taoyuan without challenging high altitudes, look no further than Hutu Mountain, located less than 5 kilometers from Taoyuan Railway Station. While the Environmental Park within is only 251 meters high, it serves as the highest point in the city, offering an unobstructed view adorned with sparkling stars and city lights, making it a popular local sightseeing spot. Known as "Star Park," Hutu Mountain Environmental Park covers about 2.5 hectares and was originally a landfill for Taoyuan City. After being closed at the end of 1998, it was successfully transformed into a green recreational area in August 2002, shedding its "shame." The entire park utilizes natural ecological methods to minimize unnecessary harm to the environment. Within the Environmental Park, there are walking paths, wooden pavilions, large grassy areas, and mosaic seating. Unlike the densely wooded original scenery of Hutu Mountain Park, the Environmental Park offers a broad view of Luchu, Dayuan, Bade, and Zhongli, where families can be seen enjoying leisurely walks during the day. In the evening, visitors can also admire the vibrant city nightscape, which is captivating. The Environmental Park is located about 1 kilometer from the best-preserved Japanese shrine in Taiwan, the Taoyuan Martyrs' Shrine and Cultural Park, making it a great opportunity for travelers to plan a dual-themed trip that combines nature and culture, exploring the beauty of Taoyuan from different perspectives.
