Huli Mountain Eco-Park Introduction
To capture a 360-degree panoramic view of the Greater Taoyuan area, you don’t need to challenge high altitudes! Huto Mountain, located less than 5 kilometers from Taoyuan Railway Station, is only 251 meters high but serves as the highest point in the urban area. It offers unobstructed beautiful scenery with sparkling stars and city lights, making it a popular local spot for sightseeing. Known as "Star Park," Huto Mountain Eco-Park covers approximately 2.5 hectares and was once a landfill in Taoyuan City. After its closure at the end of 1998 and a successful redesign in August 2002, it shed its "notorious" past and transformed into a great green oasis for outdoor enjoyment. The park is designed with natural ecological methods to minimize unnecessary environmental damage. Within the eco-park, you can find walking paths, wooden pavilions, a large grassy area, and artistic seating. Unlike the dense trees of Huto Mountain Park, the eco-park offers a broad view of Luzhu, Dayuan, Bade, and Zhongli, often filled with families enjoying walks during the day. In the evening, you can appreciate the dazzling city nightscape that captivates visitors. The eco-park is only about 1 kilometer away from the best-preserved Japanese shrine in Taiwan, the Taoyuan Martyrs' Shrine and Cultural Park, making it a great opportunity for travelers to plan a dual-themed trip that combines nature and culture to explore the beauty of Taoyuan from different perspectives.
