Daxi Yuemei to Longtan Sankeng Riverside Scenic Green Corridor Introduction
Have you tried the "One-Day Two Old Streets" experience? Starting from Daxi Bridge and heading towards Longtan Sankeng, you can take in the relaxing riverside scenery, historical century-old monuments, rich primitive ecology, local specialty snacks, and the leisurely pace of a slow town, all in one go. Whether you are a local or a visitor, you will be utterly delighted! The Daxi Yuemei to Longtan Sankeng Riverside Scenic Green Corridor is approximately 7,190 meters long, connecting the Daxi Old Street Riverside Path, Yuemei Bicycle Path, Shimen Aqueduct Bicycle Path, and Sankeng Old Street Bicycle Path along the Dahan River. Passing through Heping Old Street directly to Daxi Bridge, you can admire the beautifully decorated street houses and the bridge with its half-dome design, while Baroque sonatas softly unfold. After crossing Daxi Bridge, continue upstream towards Kanjin Bridge, with lush green farmland accompanying you, as the air is filled with a gentle fragrance of rice and garlic chives. If you visit between August and September, you can see a sea of garlic chive flowers at Fanzi Liao, whose romantic and graceful appearance can rival the snow of tung blossoms in May! After the Erkan Rest Area, follow the Dahan River embankment to reach Sankeng Natural Ecological Park. Stand on the wooden platform's pavilion to quietly enjoy the emerald lake or stroll along the arch bridge and creek, unknowingly washing away the fatigue accumulated in daily life, making the journey even more meaningful. Walking along Yongfu Road for about 2 kilometers brings you to the Sankeng Old Street, known as "Longtan's First Street," where the traditional way of life is still vividly visible. At the entrance, women wash clothes while chatting about neighborhood happenings; the second-class historic site Yongfu Temple has been the center of faith for residents for 200 years; beside it is the Qing Dynasty mansion, Qingqiandi, which has faded into simplicity. From Sankeng Old Street, you can access the branch Shimen Aqueduct Bicycle Path, where highlights such as Sankeng Spring Water, Butterfly Flower Corridor, Coffee Trail, and Tung Blossom Path bring surprising delights to the journey.
