Daxi Wood Art Ecological Museum - Feng Fei-fei Story House Introduction
During the Japanese colonial period, it served as the residence of the Chief of the Police Section of the Daxi County Government Office. At that time, Daxi County also included what is now the Fuxing District of Taoyuan City and the Jian Shi Township of Hsinchu County. The police section was responsible for managing the relationship between Daxi and the indigenous tribes in the mountainous areas. From the Japanese era until 2015, the police chiefs of the Daxi area lived here, which is why it is well-preserved. It was registered as a historic building on August 29, 2012. This structure is the best-preserved and largest stand-alone Japanese-style dormitory within the Daxi Police Station dormitory complex. Since 2022, it has been operated by the Dakekan Cultural and Educational Foundation and currently exhibits the permanent exhibition "The Singing Girl in Daxi – The Story Museum of Feng Fei-Fei."
