Daxi Wood Art Ecological Museum - Feng Fei-Fei Story Museum Introduction
The building was originally the residence of the chief of the police department of the Daxi District Office during the Japanese era. At that time, the Daxi District also included today's Fuxing District of Taoyuan City and the Jianshi Township of Hsinchu County, and the police department was responsible for managing relations between Daxi and the mountain tribes. From the Japanese era until 2015, all police superintendents in the Daxi area lived here, thus its well-preserved condition. It was registered as a historical building on August 29, 2012. This building is the best-preserved and largest standalone Japanese-style dormitory among the Daxi Police Bureau dormitory group. Since 2022, it has been operated by the Daxi Qian Keng Cultural and Educational Foundation, currently featuring the permanent exhibition "The Singing Girl in Daxi - The Feng Fei-fei Story Museum".
