Yueyin A-Jia Leisure Farm Introduction
Hidden behind the Dongshan Mountain in Hengshan, the Yueyin A-Jia Leisure Farm boasts a vast area where one can fully immerse in the natural atmosphere. The farm focuses on "Three Teas and Five Senses Forest Healing." The "Three Teas" refer to the experiences of tasting or making "Honey Fragrant Black Tea," "Camellia Oil," and "Tea Tree Hydrosol." This mountainous area was once primarily cultivated with tea trees, and one can see that the farm is predominantly planted with native Taiwanese small-fruit camellia trees. The camellia seeds can be harvested and pressed into camellia oil; the process is labor-intensive, yielding only one pound of oil from ten pounds of seeds, making every drop exceptionally precious. Another highlight is the vast area of Australian tea trees, where visitors can operate a distillation machine under the guidance of Yueyin to create essential oil and hydrosol from freshly picked Australian tea tree leaves. Yueyin mentions that tea tree essential oil has antibacterial properties and can be applied to areas of skin discomfort. Hydrosol can also be used as toner, mouthwash, and insect repellent, with its natural pesticide-free components ensuring safety for users. Additionally, with the farm-grown lemon grass or cinnamon for fragrance, visitors can take home a bottle of their homemade lotion, allowing the beautiful mountains and waters of Hengshan to nourish them.
