Pao Ma Ancient Trail Introduction

The Pao Ma Ancient Trail was first established during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. The ancestors gradually made use of the river valleys of the Xindian River and the Jiaoxi Monkey Cave Stream in Taipei County, crossing the watershed to open a more convenient road. This trail served as an important trade route for the ancestors to enter and exit Tamsui and Jiaoxi, facilitating cargo trade and the transportation of daily necessities. It is one of the branches of the Danlan Ancient Trail. After renovations, the ancient trail has been restored to its former appearance.
