Jiaoxi Xietian Temple Introduction
Hsieh Tian Temple is the foremost and most important Guan Di temple in Northern Taiwan, attracting a large number of devotees every year, with a bustling incense offering. What makes Hsieh Tian Temple particularly unique compared to other temples is that it was personally commissioned for construction by the Qing Dynasty government. Annual Spring Festival rituals featuring the "Turtle Request" event and Autumn Festival rituals showcasing the "Four-Row Dance" are focal events that draw many visitors. The temple is dedicated to Guan Sheng Di Jun, and the original site of the temple was on a sacred spot in Huangfengchao. The temple was established in the ninth year of the Jiaqing era (1804), which is the predecessor of today's Hsieh Tian Temple.
