Wushih Harbor Station Introduction
The Wushi Harbor Station (Lanyang Museum - Wushi Harbor Station) is located in the northeast corner of the Lanyang Museum Park and is Taiwan's first distinctive building centered on environmental education that integrates port landscape. Completed in 2004, the building was designed by architect Su Yuzhe with the concept of a "transparent box," resembling a large sailing ship docked at the harbor, which reflects the historical significance of Wushi Harbor as a trade port, as well as its unique geographical location at the intersection of modern harbors. The interior space extends to the harbor water surface and the Wushi Reef Wetland, creating a visual sense of integration between water, shore, and museum. It has received various accolades, including the International Architectural Design Award from the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America and the Quality Award for Public Works in Yilan County.
