Shenjing Village Camellia Garden Area Introduction
Camellia, the county flower of Hsinchu County, is cold-resistant and enduring, with a graceful tree posture. Its soft and charming flowers come in myriad variations and are incredibly beautiful, embodying elegance without a hint of extravagance. In Baoshan Township, there is a secluded village known for its Camellias. The Qiu brothers from Shenjing Village have dedicated years to cultivating Camellias, boasting nearly a thousand varieties and tens of thousands of Camellia bonsais and seedlings. The Qiu family’s Camellia garden is spread throughout Shenjing Village, transforming the once-quiet village into a vibrant Camellia Garden Village, akin to flowers blooming in splendid colors. During the flowering season around the Lunar New Year, walking through the garden feels as though one is submerged in Camellias, with clusters of deep red, pure white, soft pink, and light orange flowers dazzling the eyes, creating a sense of joy that makes it hard to leave.
