Changhua City One-Line Sky Trail Introduction

The Sky Alley Trail in Changhua City is located within the Taoyuan Community. It was once the riverbed of Beishe Stream, and after the water dried up, the riverbed became a lush, primitive forest. The trail now follows the bottom of the valley, providing a very unique experience. While walking on the trail, one can see clusters of plants such as yellow-leaf wood, bamboo forests, and taro, as well as ferns climbing among them, creating a mysterious atmosphere reminiscent of a rainforest paradise that attracts every visitor. The towering cliff walls on both sides of the trail were formed by the geological alterations after past river cutting, with the narrowest sections allowing passage for only one person. Looking from the inside out, it appears as if the sky is merely a thin line wide, hence the name "Sky Alley." Just a few minutes' drive from the city center, one can admire such stunning geological landscapes and witness the traces of erosion by the river and geological movements over thousands of years, making it a must-see when visiting Bagua Mountain. Currently, the Sky Alley Trail is maintained and managed by the Taoyuan Community Development Association in Changhua City, and visits are by reservation only.
