Eagle Rock Bagua Introduction
The eastern side of the Changhua County is home to the Bagua Mountain Range, which serves as a habitat for migratory birds during winter. The most famous species are the gray-faced buzzard and the red-bellied buzzard, which stop over in Changhua in March and April during the Tomb-Sweeping Festival. Their numbers can reach up to 20,000 to 30,000 individuals, and when the flocks of hawks soar and circle in the sky, the spectacle is truly awe-inspiring! This is the most important birdwatching event in Changhua County each year and also serves as an excellent opportunity for learning about bird conservation and habitat protection.
