Checheng Station Introduction
Checheng Station, known as "the most beautiful station in Taiwan", is located in Shuili Township, Nantou County. It is the terminus of the Taiwan Railway's Jiji Line and is surrounded by mountain views and rich tourist attractions. The spacious area is suitable for family outings and spring outings, and on clear days, you can see the Ming Tan Reservoir dam in the distance. "Checheng Station" was built during the Japanese colonial period and was rebuilt using original wood after the 921 earthquake, restoring its historical charm and filling the space with the scent of wood. The station also sells hard tickets, creating a nostalgic atmosphere. The large "Lawn Railway Display Area" beside the station immerses visitors in the old railway scenery of the past, where you can also see the rare signal tower and freight car.
