Qingshui Rock Recreation Area Introduction
Qingshuiyan Recreation Area is located in Shetou's Xucuo Liao. Major attractions include the elegant and ancient Qingshuiyan Temple (a designated county historic site), the lush Qingshuiyan Forest Recreation Area, the well-equipped Qingshuiyan Campsite, and the winding and tranquil Changqing Bicycle Path. The surrounding environment is rich with greenery and birdsong, retaining a primitive charm, and is one of the three famous rocks in central Taiwan. The elegantly constructed Qingshuiyan Temple, which is a county designated historic site, is located at No. 1, Qingshuiyan Road, Qingshui Village, Shetou Township. The temple enshrines Śakyamuni Buddha and Avalokiteśvara and features Chun Guang Pavilion and Long Pool in front. The architecture is ancient and elegant, surrounded by protective walls, preserving many historic relics and ancient couplets, making it a great place for Buddhist visits and historical exploration. The Changqing Bicycle Path, situated at an elevation of 125 to 395 meters, winds through the foothills of the western side of the southern part of the Bagua Mountains, traversing forests and fields, and is an excellent location for cycling tourism and engaging in nature activities in central Taiwan.
