Qingshuiyan Recreation Area Introduction
Qingshuiyan Recreation Area is located in Xucuo-Liao, Shetou Township. The main attractions include the elegant and ancient Qingshuiyan Temple (designated as a county historic site), the lush Qingshuiyan Forest Recreation Area, the well-equipped Qingshuiyan Campground, and the winding and serene Changqing Bicycle Path. The surrounding environment features green trees and birdsong, showcasing a rich primitive landscape, and it is one of the three famous rocks in central Taiwan. The elegantly constructed Qingshuiyan Temple, designated as a county historic site, is located at No. 1, Qingshuiyan Road, Qingshui Village, Shetou Township. The temple enshrines Shakyamuni Buddha and Guanyin Bodhisattva of the South Sea. In front of the temple are the Chun Guang Pavilion and Longchi, with its ancient and elegant architecture, surrounded by protective walls, preserving many historic relics and ancient couplets, making it an excellent place for visiting the Buddha and checking historical sites. The Changqing Bicycle Path is located at an altitude of 125 to 395 meters, on the western foothills of the southern section of the Bagua Mountain Range. The path winds its way through the mountains and fields, making it a superb location for cycling tourism and engaging in natural outdoor activities in central Taiwan.
