Qingshui Rock Recreation Area Introduction
Qingshuiyan Recreation Area is located in Xucuoliao, Shetou Township. Key attractions include the elegant and antique Qingshuiyan Temple (designated county historic site), the lush Qingshuiyan Forest Recreation Area, the well-equipped Qingshuiyan Camping Area, and the winding and tranquil Evergreen Bicycle Path. The surrounding environment is filled with greenery and birdsong, showcasing a rich primitive landscape, making it one of the three famous rocks in central Taiwan. The elegantly constructed Qingshuiyan Temple, a designated county historic site, is located at No. 1, Qingshuiyan Road, Qingshui Village, Shetou Township. The temple enshrines Shakyamuni Buddha and Guanyin of the Southern Sea. In front of the temple, there are the Chun Guang Pavilion and Long Pond, with an elegant and ancient architectural style. The temple is surrounded by protective walls and preserves many historic relics and ancient couplets, making it a great place for Buddhist worship and historical visits. The Evergreen Bicycle Path is situated at an elevation of 125 to 395 meters, on the western foothills of the southern section of the Bagua Mountain Range. It meanders through mountains and fields, making it an excellent spot for cycling tourism and outdoor nature activities in central Taiwan.
