Qingshuiyan Recreational Area Introduction
The Qingshuiyan Recreation Area is located in Xucuo Liao, Shetou Township. The main attractions include the elegant and ancient Qingshuiyan Temple (a designated county historic site), the lush Qingshuiyan Forest Recreation Area, the well-equipped Qingshuiyan Camping Area, and the winding and serene Evergreen Bicycle Path. The surrounding environment is rich in greenery and bird songs, showcasing a primeval appearance, making it one of the three famous rocks in central Taiwan. The elegantly constructed Qingshuiyan Temple, designated as a county historic site, is located at No. 1, Qingshuiyan Road, Qingshui Village in Shetou Township. The temple enshrines Shakyamuni Buddha and Guanyin of the South Sea. In front of the temple, there are the Chun Guang Pavilion and Long Pool. The architecture is ancient and graceful, surrounded by protective walls and preserving many historical relics and ancient couplets, making it an excellent place for Buddhist worship and historical visits. The Evergreen Bicycle Path is located at an elevation of 125 to 395 meters on the western foothills of the southern section of the Bagua Mountain Range. The entire route winds through forests and fields, making it an excellent location for cycling tourism and engaging in mountain and nature activities in central Taiwan.
