Ching Shui Yan Recreation Area Introduction
Qingshui Rock Recreational Area is located in Shetou District, Hsiuzihliao. Major attractions include the elegant and ancient Qingshui Rock Temple (a designated county historical site), the lush Qingshui Rock Forest Recreation Area, the well-equipped Qingshui Rock Camping Area, and the winding and tranquil Changqing Bicycle Path. The surrounding environment is rich in greenery and bird songs, maintaining a primitive charm, making it one of the three famous rocks in central Taiwan. The elegantly constructed Qingshui Rock Temple, designated as a county historical site, is located at No. 1, Qingshui Rock Road, Qingshui Village, Shetou Township. The temple enshrines the Buddha Shakyamuni and Guanyin Bodhisattva of the South Sea. In front of the temple, there are Spring Light Pavilion and Dragon Pond. The architecture is simple and elegant, with protective walls surrounding it, preserving many historical relics and ancient couplets, making it a great place for visiting Buddha and exploring history. The Changqing Bicycle Path is situated at an elevation of 125 to 395 meters on the western foothills of the southern section of the Bagua Mountain Range. The entire path winds through mountains and fields, making it an excellent destination for cycling tourism and nature activities in central Taiwan.
