Wetland Bird Watching Area Introduction
Wendi is located by the Beigang River in Shuilin Township. This area, due to its proximity to the river's estuary and the vast river beach, has abundant food sources such as fish, shrimp, and shellfish, making it very suitable for waterbirds to inhabit. Numerous bird species, including Black-headed Gull, Caspian Tern, Curlew Sandpiper, Dunlin, Great Egret, and Northern Shoveler, have been recorded in the wetlands of Wendi, making it rich in birdwatching resources. Relevant authorities are currently planning to designate this area as a birdwatching theme park and a wetland ecological conservation area. Wendi is close to the river's estuary, and a bicycle path is still under planning. The surroundings feature decorative paintings, allowing future visitors to ride bikes or stroll here to enjoy a relaxing and leisurely time.
