Yuanguang Temple Introduction

Located in Qixing Village, Liuliao, also known as Lion Rock Cave, it is situated at the mountain's peak and is the earliest built Buddhist temple among the temples in the Lion Head Mountain area. Founded in the 21st year of the Qing Guangxu era (1895 AD) by Monk Pu Jie, he is considered the founder of the Buddhist realm of Lion Head Mountain. Later, the land was donated by Chen Xiuchun from Fuxing Village, and a hall was built in front of the cave to enshrine Guanyin and Shakyamuni.
