Yuan Guang Temple Introduction
Located in Liuliao, Qixing Village, also known as Lion Rock Cave, it is situated at the top of the mountain and is the earliest Buddhist temple built among the temple complex at Shitoushan. Founded in the 21st year of the Guangxu era of the Qing Dynasty (1895) by Master Pujie, he is regarded as the founder of the Buddhist realm of Shitoushan. Later, Xu Chiu-Chun from Fuxing Village donated land to build a hall in front of the cave to worship Guanyin Bodhisattva and Shakyamuni.
