Qizhang Coastal Recreation Area Introduction
Ishizaki Beach is a rare sandy shore along the East Coast, featuring a 3-kilometer stretch of beach that is very accessible. Unlike other coastal bathing areas, Ishizaki is situated at the junction of mountains and the sea, resembling a soft cloud on the rugged eastern coastline. Surfing and water play attract many visitors, filling Ishizaki Beach with laughter and vitality. Travelers can immerse themselves in the sea under the blue sky of the East Coast, feeling the embrace of the Pacific Ocean, and watching the tides wash away footprints on the sand. Everyone can experience this charming natural beach in their own way. The Ishizaki Coastal Recreation Area originally had a seawater bathing area with beautiful sandy beaches; however, in recent years, factors such as typhoons and ocean currents have caused sand drifting along the coastline. As a result, rocky surfaces often emerge, and sediment like pebbles can easily accumulate, making it unsuitable for swimming. It is advised to engage in water activities with floatation devices.
