Dashi Nose Mountain Rest Area Introduction
Traveling south, you will pass the Kihon Coast Rest Area, where the parking lot serves as the trailhead to Dashihbi Mountain. The trail has both north and south entrances, connecting to Highway 11 Coastal Road. The Dashihbi Mountain Trail is 910 meters long, mostly consisting of wooden planks and stone steps, with distance markers and benches along the way. If the weather is hot, you can first head to the newly opened south entrance to use the vending machine for cold water before continuing on the trail. The overall layout of the Dashihbi Mountain Rest Area is well-planned, and the views from the observation deck are very soothing. The best part is that in just about 15 minutes of walking, you can enjoy the beautiful horizon of sea and sky. The spectacular wooden boardwalk, set against the backdrop of blue skies, mountain layers, and the ocean, is a must-see for many influencers and social media enthusiasts, allowing for easy photography even without a professional camera or skills. After completing the trail, you can head to the indigenous seafood restaurant across from the parking lot to enjoy a fresh and delicious local specialty meal before continuing your journey.
