Bajiki Observation Deck Introduction
Baqi Viewing Platform is located at the 31.5-kilometer mark on Taiwan's Highway 11, serving as a rare vantage point on the coastal highway. Here, the road presents a perfect hairpin bend, with lush green mountains on one side and a blue ocean view on the other, creating stunning and breathtaking scenery. The Baqi Viewing Platform features a rest area, and from the platform, looking south offers excellent visibility, allowing visitors to see the Aozaki Bay, Guishan Cape, and Xinshe Cliff, which are characteristic coastal landscapes with distinct layers. Below the viewing platform, there is a 100-meter-long boardwalk that leads to a cool grassy area under the shade of trees, where visitors can rest, enjoy the cool breeze, and listen to the pleasant sounds of cicadas and birds in the mountains. Further along the coastal highway, about 60 meters away, is another small rest area known as "Shimen Banshao Cape," named after its historical role as a coastal defense post. After renovations, it has become a beautifully scenic and conveniently accessible small attraction, with a heart-shaped sculpture in the small square that is a popular photo spot for visitors.
