Buddha Hand Cave Introduction

- Scenic Spot Introduction - With a spirit of adventure, follow the gravel path deep into Buddha's Hand Cave, where you can feel the cool temperature. Along the way, you can observe the natural coastal erosion cave landscapes. Buddha's Hand Cave gets its name from the palm-like natural weathering image on the stone wall above deep inside the cave, with clear finger-like patterns that resemble the hand of the Buddha. The natural coastal erosion landscape of Buddha's Hand Cave is well-preserved; it was once known as Bat Cave due to the presence of bats. This natural sea cave was also used as an air-raid shelter during the Japanese colonial period. Today, it has been developed into a cultural landscape area with lighting, making it a great place for a fun family adventure, where visitors can enjoy the natural wonders while learning about its unique historical background. - Spot Features - Inside Buddha's Hand Cave, there are several different passageways that make walking through the cave feel like entering an ancient adventure game. These passages lead to different caverns, winding like a maze and adding a sense of mystery. Upon reaching the deepest part of the cave, you can look up and see the markings resembling a Buddha's hand, bringing a fantastical joy akin to stepping into a mythological story. As a natural cave, it may drip water during rainy days, and the paths can be slippery, so visitors should pay attention to their footing for safety. - Recommended Activities - Embark on a safe and enjoyable cave exploration! Put on comfortable shoes, tread carefully, and move step by step into the cave in search of the Buddha's hand markings. Along the way, take time to closely observe the naturally eroded rock walls. Buddha's Hand Cave is very close to Xian Dong Yan, allowing for a combined visit to enhance the fun! - Nearby Recommendations - After visiting Buddha's Hand Cave, you can also walk to the nearby Xian Dong Yan and Qiuzi Mountain Lighthouse for added adventure. Additionally, you can visit the nearby Keelung Lighthouse to complete a day of visiting two lighthouses.
