Tianwai Tian Rehabilitation Park Introduction

Keelung City Tianwaitian Landfill was closed at the end of 2005 and transformed into "Tianwaitian Environmental Park." Located on Peide Road in Xinyi District, Keelung City, the park underwent six years of rehabilitation in three phases and was officially inaugurated as Tianwaitian Environmental Park by the Keelung City Government in 2011. It provides citizens with a recreational space to appreciate the natural green hills and waters! The park features a diverse range of plants, attracting various species of animals and creating rich biodiversity. Not only is the lawn lush and green, but flocks of Formosan Blue Magpies can also be seen flying in the sky, making it a suitable spot for families to enjoy the outdoors. In the future, the park will be planned into five areas for agricultural operations, including dining services, animal husbandry, grasslands, flower sea landscapes, and ecological conservation. Visitors can walk up Peide Road, where there is a pathway leading to the park, and nearby, they can observe some decommissioned environmental machinery closely. Continuing along the path, visitors will pass by the waste resource recycling (incineration) plant, which leads to the site.
