National Museum of Marine Science and Technology Introduction
The National Museum of Marine Science and Technology is located in the Zhongzheng District of Keelung City, nestled between mountains and the sea, with the Deep Bay Railway Line passing through, creating a beautiful environment. The museum features eight exhibition halls, including the "Marine Environment Hall" and the "Marine Science Hall," targeting school groups and families to introduce marine-related knowledge from multiple perspectives. Through innovative interactive exhibits, visitors can learn about marine science, ecology, and culture in an entertaining and educational way. It serves as a museum that integrates exhibition, education, research, collection, and recreational functions, aiming to inspire the audience to “get close to the ocean, understand the ocean, and care for the ocean,” while ensuring the sustainable development of the ocean. The museum emphasizes the cultural and environmental characteristics of Keelung and Badouzi, presenting and interpreting the development and application of marine science and technology, the formation of Taiwan's marine culture, the evolution of marine ecology, and the relationship between humans and the ocean through various exhibitions, education, research, and collection activities.
