Sleeping Forest Theme Park Introduction
The small park in front of Beimen Station and next to Yushan Hostel has been there since the Japanese colonial period. Illustrator SMART (Zhuang Xintang) designed a series of Q-version animal shapes, including a polar bear, pink elephant, fox, owl, penguin, and squirrel, with the theme of "Sleeping Forest." Combining the existing green trees, air raid shelters, and streetlights, visitors can stroll through and feel the vibrant yet tranquil atmosphere of the forest. The cherry blossom iron arch at the entrance echoes the image of Beimen Station as the gateway to Alishan; birdcage and owl-shaped streetlight decorations feature stars, moons, and suns. The 50-year-old wax apple tree and the nostalgic air raid shelter, adorned with colorful lights, create a dazzling and enchanting night scene.
