The "Hsiao Wan-chang Memorial Museum" was established in 2006 as an expansion of the "Hsiao Wan-chang Archives." It houses a collection of 2,549 artifacts, including medals, artworks, paintings, and important documents from Hsiao Wan-chang's 50 years in public service, including his time as Vice President, donated to National Chung Cheng University for educational research and cultural purposes. It is located on the fifth floor of the National Chung Cheng University Library, covering an area of 387.5 square meters. The museum consists of an entrance hall featuring a sundial that represents Mr. Hsiao's life and displays the Order of Cheng Cheng he received during his term as Vice President; an exhibition room for artworks and digital resources, showcasing Hsiao's administrative achievements with a floor designed with a sundial, aerial photographs of Chiayi City, and the city flower; and a special collection room that displays press releases, speeches, news clippings, and important meeting records from Dr. Hsiao, along with various honorary academic dress, significant paintings, and treasured artifacts.

Hsiao Wan-chang Museum Introduction

The Hsiao Wan-chang Memorial Museum was established in 2006 as an expansion of the "Hsiao Wan-chang Archive Room." It houses a collection of 2,549 artifacts donated to National Chiayi University, including medals, artworks, calligraphy, and important documents from Hsiao's 50 years of public service up to his vice presidency, serving both educational research and artistic functions. Located on the 5th floor of the National Chiayi University Library, the museum covers an area of 116.5 ping and is divided into sections: the Entrance Hall features a sundial representing Mr. Hsiao's life and displays the Order of Cheng-Ching awarded during his vice presidency; the Art and Digital Resources Exhibition Room showcases a sundial, an aerial photograph of Chiayi City, and a flower design on the floor, presenting various aspects of Vice President Hsiao's administrative accomplishments along with large interactive touch computers and a multimedia room for displaying digitized museum data; the Special Collections Room features Dr. Hsiao's press releases, speeches, news clippings, and important meeting records, along with a display of various honorary degree garments, significant calligraphy, and treasured artworks.
