Hu Lien Memorial Museum Introduction
The Hu Lien Memorial Museum is located in Ankang, Xindian. General Hu Lien made outstanding contributions to national defense throughout his military career. The museum is designed in a modernist architectural style and, after expansions, presents an L-shaped spatial configuration. The building's most notable feature is the protruding bunker room on the west side, which has gun ports in the walls for defense, resembling the bunkers in Kinmen. It holds significant historical and military importance. The balcony and eaves are supported by cantilever beams, highlighting the structural characteristics of the building. In 2019, it was designated as a historical building by the New Taipei City Government.
