Shuangxi Bat Mountain Trail Introduction
Bat Mountain is located on the south bank of the Shuangxi ferry terminal. The mountain’s name comes from its shape, which resembles a bat spreading its wings. With an elevation of 252 meters, there is a statue of Sun Yat-sen at the summit, and thus, the Bat Mountain Trail is also known as the "Yixian Mountain Hiking Trail." The trailhead is located next to the Shuangxi Mingtian Temple, and the trail is approximately 1,700 meters long, forming an O-shaped loop. Strolling along the Bat Mountain Trail, one can enjoy the companionship of bamboo forests and rhododendrons, and upon reaching the summit, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the scenic mountains and sea of Shuangxi and Gongliao, making it a popular hiking trail in the suburbs of Shuangxi.
