Camellia House Introduction
Camellia Garden is located along the midway highway near Xinliaozi in Meizhuqi, about two kilometers from Shuangxi Station. The area for cultivating camellias spans 2.5 hectares, featuring around 800 varieties from various countries including China, Japan, the United States, Canada, and Europe. The flowers come in a multitude of colors with diverse petal shapes and sizes, competing for attention and beauty. The garden also utilizes grafting techniques to cultivate many camellia bonsais, allowing visitors to appreciate camellia bonsais outside of the blooming season, which lasts from December to April the following year. The garden includes a camellia forest area, a camellia trail area, a digital camellia section, a herbal plant area, an organic vegetable section, a osmanthus forest area, a colorful ginger lily section, a river ecology area, a bird watching area, and a firefly area. Professional guides are available to lead tours of the garden, helping visitors to learn about various plants and animals. The owner of Camellia Garden is a descendant of Zhuang Tingcan, a tribute scholar from the Qing Dynasty, and next to the garden is an old three-part courtyard house known as Gongsheng Old House, where a camellia relief sculpture is carved on the stone wall, allowing visitors to enjoy both the camellias and the historical site.
